Park and Ride buses are Red Green and Blue
There are Park and Ride services for both Bristol and Bath which offer many benefits over driving and parking in the city centres. The fare covers your return bus trip and any period of car parking on the day which can often cost less than parking in the city centre.
The map here shows the stops that are serviced by the various park and ride buses and the location of the actual park and ride car parks. Clicking on the car park markers will give details of the times and charges for the particular service.
To see the Park and Ride routes on the map, click the Bus icon and then within that section click the "p & r" icon. This will show all of the par and ride routes as a single overlay. It will also list the routes in the sidebar. You can show the routes individually by clicking the route number in the side bar. This also shows the actual stops on the map which you can click to check scheduled times.
All Bristol Park and Ride routes go to the city centre Monday to Saturday but none operate on Sundays or Bank Holidays. They operate from just before 7AM until 7 or 8PM (check details on each one).
The Long Aston is the shortest route taking 15 minutes each way and the others 25 or 30 minutes. The Bath Road service runs every ten minutes and the other two have a bus every fifteen minutes.
The car parks are locked when the service is not running so make sure you get back in time.
You pay your fare on the bus and this covers your parking for any period on that day. The standard adult return is £3.50 weekdays (£2.50 after 10AM) and £2.50 on Saturdays.
A book of 10 single journeys costs £15, a book of 20 single tickets costs £28 and an annual ticket costs £580.
See the Bristol City Council Website for downloadable brochures and other info.
There are four regular Park and Ride services in Bath, with three going to the city centre and one (route 42) going from Odd Down to the Royal University Hospital. They all operate from 6:45AM until 8:30PM.
On Saturdays there is an additional park and ride service from University of Bath car park at Claverton Down which runs from 8:30 AM until 6:30PM.
The journey times are between 10 and 15 minutes for all services and they run every 10 to 15 minutes.
You pay your fare on the bus and this covers your parking for any period on that day. Fares are £2.20 for an adult round trip on weekdays and £2.00 on Saturdays. Books of ten single tickets cost £11 but cannot be used on the RUH (42) or University of Bath (19) routes.
