To sign in on the site, click the "sign in" command in the top right hand corner of the page. This opens the sign in dialog, just enter the email you used to register on the site and the password that you made up at the time.

You can tell when you are signed into the site because the "sign in" link changes to "sign out" and the link beside it that says "(account)" will change to your name in parentheses.

To sign out, click the "sign out" link that replaces the "sign in" link. Signing out is confirmed with a dialog and the site is reset to its initial state (nothing on the map and the home tab of the side bar).

Automatic sign in

When you sign in there is a check box to "Keep me signed in". If this is checked, it means that when you return to the site using the same browser, that you will be signed in automatically as soon as you arrive at the site.

The setting is maintained using a cookie on your browser. This means you will not automatically be signed in on other browsers or on other machines unless you check the "Keep me signed in" option when signing in on those browsers also.

If you explicitly "sign out", this resets the "keep me signed in" option and you will not automatically be signed back in next time.
